I. Introduction and enrollment of micro-majors

Micro-major refers to a talent training model consisting of a set of core courses set up around a specific professional field, industrial development trend or core quality, based on the demand for talents in economic and social development, outside the undergraduate major catalog of ordinary colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education。

The study period of micro-major is generally no more than four semesters, and the course setting is generally 5-7, each course is divided into 2-3 credits, and the total number of credits is divided into 10-16 credits。

In 2024, the school will start enrollment for a total of three micro-majors, as shown in the following table. For the specific introduction of micro-majors, courses offered, enrollment registration requirements and arrangements, please refer to the enrollment brochure。

2. Training policies

1.The implementation of micro-major follows the Measures for the Construction and Management of Micro-Major of Tianjin University of Commerce (Trial Implementation) (Jinshang University Fa [2024] 24) and the relevant management regulations of the university's undergraduate teaching work。

2.The scores and credits obtained by students attending micro-major courses are not involved in the grade point calculation of student evaluation, evaluation, and application for exemption from student qualification。

3.Upon graduation or completion of the major, students who have completed all course credits of the micro major can obtain the micro major certificate and micro major course transcript after being reviewed by the college where the micro major is located。

4.The micro professional certificate only proves that the student has completed the course study of professional skills in a certain field or industry at the same time of studying the major, and does not prove the academic qualification and does not award the degree。

3. Working procedures

1.Student registration: Micro major registration is open to undergraduate students who have the academic capacity of the whole school. For specific selection requirements, please refer to the admission brochure of each micro major (attached).。The registration period is from 9:00, September 2, 2024 to 17:00, September 9, 2024。Please fill in the Application Form for XX Micro-major according to the relevant micro-major enrollment requirements, and submit the Application Form and related materials to the designated place。

2.Admission Announcement: Each micro-major opening college will be announced in the college bulletin board from September 10 to September 12, 2024。

3.Course schedule。According to the course teaching plan, each college will complete the arrangement and implementation of the teaching work of micro majors before September 13 to ensure the smooth start of the third week of classes。

4. Precautions

1.Each student is limited to one micro-major at a time。

2.Micromajors should be taken in accordance with the micro-major teaching plan of each school。

3.All colleges (teaching departments) should attach great importance to the registration work of this micro-major, do a good job in publicity, consultation and guidance, and ensure the smooth progress of this work。

4.Special reminder: Students need to enter the relevant micro-professional consultation QQ group (see Admission brochure) for other specific matters。
